My plane landed at LAX and I rushed to the Beverly Hills Hotel, ten minutes from Johnny Depp’s new business manager Ed White’s house overlooking the Bel-Air golf club.
Forever grateful that someone led you to him right when he was going to need it most. Also grateful that you accepted. You have been a true friend, Adam!
You got to see Johnny as he really is. Kind, trusting, generous. I’m glad you took the case. The Mandel’s, Bloom, even Jacobs were very powerful people in Hollywood. Their unscrupulousness and greed was despicable. People might say Johnny should’ve known better, been smarter. But he was a kind and trusting kid from Kentucky and they saw a sucker from a mile away and took advantage of him. They knew how to keep what they were doing under wraps until they couldn’t hide it anymore. You pulled them out from under the rock they were trying stay covered by and exposed them. For that sir, I honor you.
Love your writing style, Adam. It's infuriating the various people who took advantage of JD's trust, generosity & kindness. So thankful JD had people like you & Ed White in his sphere to help right the wrongs.
I'm very grateful that you decided to tell your side of the story. It's a fascinating read and everything you're saying about Johnny, about him being shy and good with regular people, hiring you on the spot because he fell the connection, makes sense.
I don't what's yet to come in this story but again, it's one of the most interesting things I've read this year and among top 5 best materials about how legal industry actually works and about Johnny.
Thank you for sharing the details and the truth. Johnny is one of the kindest souls. He was done so wrong by so many people and he did not deserve any of it. It's so sad everything that he went through.
The betrayal is awful!
I enjoy your quiet sense of observation….

Je suis bouche bée!

Great read. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Wow! Just wow.
He went to thank those who served. This is the measure of the man!
I love how you describe your first impression of Johnny, Johnny is a good and decent man, a beautiful soul. Thank you Adam
Fuck the Mandels, fuck Hollywood.
Amen ...they go 👇🏼 anyways. ..
Thank you for helping a man when he was possibly at his lowest emotionally.
